Greetings ladies and gentlemen, my name is Jeremy Graham Sr aka JGraham and I'm a seasoned DJ from Elmira NY,
At an early age, I was inspired to become a DJ after witnessing the joy that it brought my Uncle Ulysses Roberson Jr. As a youth, I spent plenty of weekends at my Aunt Hollise & my Uncle Ulysses's place. On Saturday mornings (if he wasn't fishing) my Uncle would wake up, dust off his records, put the records on his turntable, and as soon as the needle touched the record it was showtime! The way he would sing, dance, and go seamlessly from one song to the next was something remarkable to me.
When I became older and was allowed to venture around the city I came across another DJ who inspired me, his name is DJ Brand New. Brand New was a turntablist (an individual who manipulates records creating a unique sound), he was also a hood celebrity. The way he would manipulate the records and how his audience would react to him doing so, was something I had never seen before and I loved it.
Around the same time I began being exposed to mixtapes. DJs from NYC would record the events they played at or they would make recordings of the latest music on cassette tapes and distribute these tapes throughout the world. DJs such as Doo Wop, Ron G, Chubby Chub, Green Lantern, Kid Capri, Clue and a host of other notable DJs.
After witnessing the capabilities of being a DJ, I knew I had to be one!
Since becoming a DJ I've had the privilege of DJing various Celebrations, Block Parties, Shows, Corporate Events, Weddings, and everything in between. The genre of music for the various events range from R&B, Hip-Hop, Country, Reggae, Afrobeats, Top 40, Old Skool to New Skool, Pop to even Classic Rock. My versatility along with my professionalism makes me a great candidate for your next event!!!
